Can't wait to see some more pics! That new welder sure looks nice. Sure will be cool seeing that rolling down the road this spring.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
I was doing some welding but that was short lived when Amy found out that the old bolts wouldn't work due to the thicker carb gasket. We had to stop working and drive to Lowes to get 4 bolts so she could finish her carb.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
I'm not much on bolts in an intake for the carb. I ended up buying some carrage bolts and cutting the heads off. Then Amy put them in and used washers and nuts. Home made studs!

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
I'm going to start on the bed I guess. I don't have a nice bender so it's the old fashion way on the square tubing.
Math does come into play when doing some hot rodding.
Make your marks.
Time to cut.

Fold it up till it's true.
Few spot welds here and there.
Time consuming but after a while it's all welded up. Heat is an issue so you have to jump around or drink a pop between some welds.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
It was titled "The Roller Coaster" by Mini Truckin' magazine back in April 2008 due to it's past. Let's just say, it's a clean truck until you run a vehicle history report.

We have the story of it's life on the forum. I may try to find it later.

Greg won't post many pics. He's afraid of showing most of us up.

I greatly appreciate all of the comments! And, Steve, I am not into the automobile scene to show anyone up. I have been extremely fortunate and thankful.

So, I'm guessing you should hang onto a lady that can make you total two trucks and come back for more. You ARE a lucky guy.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
I guess it works, we have been together for 17 years now! On the other hand, I am a lucky guy, how many women allow their husband to build a "one car garage" (24' x 32') and agree to not put anything in it.
