Newport Car Show is back!!! Aug 24th

If anyone has any concerns or questions. Please post them it may be something we haven't thought of yet. Steve will be having a meeting with the city each Thursday. I'm sure the club will have a few meetings to keep us all on track. Amy

The city matched our money to be given away for the long haul award. Who ever drives the most miles to get to the show will get $50.00 towards their gas or what ever you want to spend it on.

We are looking for a pinstriper to work the Newport Car Show. If you are interested set up is free to you. All you have to do is come and make some money for yourself.

I've had a few worried about the weather. I just looked at The Weather Channel site and it's only showing rain on Sunday but only 30% down from the 40% when I looked at it a few days ago. By Sunday it may even have less of a chance.
If 30% is all we have to worry about I'd say we will be fine. Don't miss this show, it should be a great time for all..All summer people have stayed home because of the fear of rain at some of the shows I've been to and it never rained. Get out and have a blast. Summer will be ending before you know it and you will be sitting in the house with the heat on wishing it was summer again. Get out and have some fun..

It never rained?

I remember it being a little humid while we were eating Burritos as Big as Our Heads in Indy, and the sunshine was a little moist at the Road Devils in Columbus. It may have been a little damp but we still had a good time rain or shine!! (at least I did)

Just bring your rain gear and forget your suntan lotion. That'll make sure the sun will shine!!

we will make room for that teardrop camper,,, a few in the club wants to build one anyways.

Out of close to 50 cruise ins and shows I have went to this year it has only rained a few times and none of them was a washout. A little rain and then the rest of the day was nice.

Well we had a great time and you guys and gals did a GREAT JOB!!!!!!!! Jerry York from our club was in the top 30 and was very happy as we all were. We hope to have more come next year. Great food and we really like the downtown shows. A lot to do just not enough money to get things in all the shops that were open. Look forward to next year and seeing you all again.

I also had a great time at the show hopefully next year i will be able to participate instead of being a spectator but still the two hour trip was well worth it.

I personally had a great time. The weather co-operated and it was a great day. I ended up taking 218 pictures, so it will probably be a couple of days before I get most of them posted on our forum. I love the town and the old buildings. I am so glad to see a town trying to restore what they have. The car show was fantastic. There was something there for everyone. Thanks for having the CCC. Maybe next year we can participate.

Heath I just wanted you guys to have fun. I know you guys work your butts off down in Ky and I just couldn't see you guys working on a good day like today. I hope you guys all had fun.

I wasn't in on the unfinished stuff but that little Falcon looked pretty well done to me!

Thanks to everyone that made the effort to come to the show. I'm sorry I didn't get to spend much time with you guys and gals. I think we just need to get together for a grill out or something so we all don't have to work as hard.

I was talking to a few people at Samantha's practice today. And they said the car show has been the "Talk of the Town". All positive! Others have said if they knew it was that good they would've brought their cars and motorcycle down.
