I pull motors by myself all the time and sometimes its easier that way with no one getting in the way,you are going to need a bigger motor for that car as that little small block will kill its self trying to move that big pig. A 455 would be a better motor and would not do too bad on gas with a good gear due to much more torque,I had a 72 olds 98 that came from the mountains of Colorado with a 3 something gear and it would get 16 at 70 which I thought was not too bad for a big barge with mountain gears and a big block. You would think with gas being expensive a good donor car would show up at a reasonable price,I am getting 460 fords cheap as I picked up a decent 77 f150 beater with a good 460/C-6 and other goodies for 500 dollars. It has 2.75 gears and was told it got decent mileage on the highway, the person I bought it from was complaining about gas being too high at 1.50. Jeff
