Dragin' Rust, 65 Chevy build
New into the shop is this cool 65 pickup owned by Danny Walter. This is going to be a fun build.
Bill towed it over.
Little rig is from out west and was bought and brought out here as a parts car. After looking at it he didn't want to rip it apart so he sold it, bought it back later and now has bit the bullet to make it one tough truck.
Truck has never been messed with. Even the engine has all the spark plug wire guards and everything in place the way it came from the factory

Looks like all it needs is a battery, some new tires and lowered about a foot. Cool lookin old Chevy.

Re: Dragin' Rust, 65 Chevy build
It would shock you at how nice this thing is. I have been all over it. Has a small stress crack in the radiator support(easy fix) but everything else, even the rubber body mounts are nice. All the bolts came out like they had been laying in WD40 for 10 years. Never broke or stripped any bolt and everything came apart like a hot knife through butter.Blue Eyed Devil wrote:Damn that thing is bitchin! How would one classify that as a "parts truck"??

It had a battery. I took it out before the picture. I didn't try to start it. He said it ran just not real good. It will be lowered about a foot or 2FalconEddie1964 wrote:Looks like all it needs is a battery, some new tires and lowered about a foot. Cool lookin old Chevy.
