I've been looking for an 80's monte carlo ss for a while and found this one. A couple down from me on another street bought this 87 aerocoupoe new. The wife was the one that drove it. Been sitting since Feb of 2009. I was really looking for a bucket seat floor shift car but this worked out pretty good and I didn't have to go far to get it. Had to leave it in a barn for about 3 weeks. Moved it to the main building and started tearing into the rear end and brakes and moving towards the front. 77k original miles and one repaint. Paint on the roof, hood and trunk are faded.

I've always like that body style. It wouldn't take much to throw some buckets in there either.

I'm going to keep it as it is and just drive it. Wanted a driver since my 84 ss needs so much work. John, I like the one you had better than this one. Rather has silver than maroon.

Let me know if you go to get rid of it. If the funds are there I may try to get it.

Will do. GOt the carb kit today and pulled the carb. Had to order another rear wheel cylinder. One was a raybestes and the other was a Dorman. Dorman cylinder wouldn't fit.

Tore the rear end apart to pull one backing plates. New wheel cylinder and axle seals. Pulled the tank to check it out. New fuel pump and hoses. Right side front suspension is off the car. Getting new bushings and ball joints now.

All of the suspension is back under the car along with shocks. Pulled the plugs to see how they are and thats when I found why I have an exhaust leak. The back two exhaust manifold bolts that hold the smog crap are broke off and hanging.

Pulled the head and had the broken exhaust bolts removed and installed a new stud that holds a rocker arm on. Its back on and waiting to be finished up. While doing that I picked up another 87 aerocoupe. 80k miles. Interior is perfect and better than the first one. Somewhere in the early 90's someone added an aftermarket ground effects kits to the car. I'm not diggin it. Previous owner got the car ready to paint.

This is a complete car. All of the parts are in the trunk, back seat, or in the back of the dodge. Solid body with no rust.
