1953 Ford F100 4x4 Empty 1953 Ford F100 4x4

Post by RustyKarr May 6th 2014, 5:19 pm

I haven't posted in some time but since the 4x4/Truck Chapter is linked in now this covers each spectrum of Scroungers lol Here's one I just picked up, some know on here I have a soft spot for the 53-56 Ford effies and now I have another. I ended up trading one of my other rides for it but I had to have it. I traded my 85 Jeep CJ7 with a AMC 360 mated to a 4 speed lifted on 35's to This 53 Ford F100 on a Blazer frame with a 350 mated to a bulldog 4 speed on 33's. I'll throw up a couple pics for now, I need to change around the pedal configuration and seat height then I'll be hitting the streets some. The Jeep has been a blast but when given the option I had to go for the Ol Ford which brings the count to 4 of them right now but only 2 together and drivable.

That's a nice 'un. I would have done the same trade, too. That's a little sweetheart of a truck.

It did have the tailgate warmer but when it had the Chevy drive-train swapped in that tailgate option was obsolete and deleted.  Cool

Hmmm? Sounds suspicious to me... I would have thought it to be the other way around- an option delete situation that was added as part of the (ahem) brand "X" powertrain component package. Well, I guess that's how confusion is created. Have to go see it in person to know for sure.

I am able to finally see pics ( work restricts some websites) and that is a super nice truck. Love the color! I do not like Fords, but since it has a GM drivetrain, would probably make an exception  Very Happy

It looks really nice in person. I stopped by and did a walk around. Chad's house is starting to look like hot rod alley. Smile

I wish I knew ya was around yesterday Stewart, I was out and about all day. I need to get on my spring cleaning and continue putting my signs out. Thanks for the kind words guys, it should be a fun truck to cruise around for sure.
