Re: Club Jackets?
I was in a club way back when, we had the baseball type wool jackets with the leather sleeves. Back then they were cheap. I think I just threw the old moth eaten thing away about a year ago. We wore those things everywhere and they kept you warm. Just a nylon type jacket might be a start.

Re: Club Jackets?
anyone that has a line on someone that does jackets and they want to get one is more than welcome to. I can give you a printed logo or a cd for them to take the artwork from. I wouldn't mind having one myself but I don't think there are enough guys in the club that would order one right now. Last time I checked there was only 2 guys that would want to get one for sure. If anyone wants to get one made shoot me a PM and I will send you the CD or paper logo. I'm hoping that we may get some other by the end of summer that may want one and if so we can have Riggs look into it a little more. Prices, styles ect ect.

Re: Club Jackets?
http://www.settlemiersjackets.com/aboutus.html These guys do good work and are reasonable. I have one of their jackets and the chain stitching on the back looks vintage. How about those who are interested get an order together?40standard wrote:where can you get a good deal on buying a jacket?

Re: Club Jackets?
Looks cool to me. If anyone wants to get one feel free to use whatever font(lettering) you want. only thing we need to watch is the logos. We don't want to use any logos that would cause a problem with another club. If you guys only use the lettering and no logo pick something you guys like and go with it. I like the one font you had on here before. The one from HAMB, on a dragger plate. I'd leave the Cincy off the bottom though.

Re: Club Jackets?
Received a quote from Settlemiers. Jackets would cost 182.00 each with club logo chain stitched (old style of stitching) on the back and name on front of jacket. This is a good deal on this style of jacket (wool 3/4 length with byron collar). Look around the one I attached earlier from the Rodders Journal costs $265.00, Jalopy Journal jacket costs $395.00. I know its still expensive, but the jacket can be a symbol of pride and passed down to the next generation. The price quoted was for 3 jackets. The price drops the more jackets we order. Who's in?? I am!!!

Re: Club Jackets?
This is the logo I sent to them to stitch on the back. I am open for comments and suggestions. I know this is not the club logo used on the current shirts or on the site. This is a club and not wanting to step over the line and make a decision for others about logo's and stuff. So speak up! If nobody is interested right now maybe we can re-open this later on down the road in the fall. I understand the cost is high and times are tight, but it would be cool to get some jackets.

Re: Club Jackets?
What is the concern with the logo? I think I have read before that copy right concern?

Re: Club Jackets?
I may get one this fall but if anyone wants to get one now go for it. I just have too many irons in the fire right now and don't have the extra spending cash. The lettering you posted looks Killer to me. As far as copy rights we own the chick bent over the car but nothing else.

Re: Club Jackets?
I'd like to get noe but no funds now. We had jackets when we had a club just out of High School. Was a lot of fun to all wear'um around. I think the lettering is cool but the black would collect every hair that comes off out huskie!! LOL. Hope I can get one in the future.
