If I buy the tree do I get the car?

I used to work at a vocational college instructing young minds in the finer aspects of heavy equipment repair. Once in a while we would get a project in that would seem to drag, and no progress for weeks, till one day it would be completed. On the day it was completed I would ask one of the students to "Go out in the back of my truck and get my chain saw." To which at least one of the students would ask "What do you need a chain saw for?" The reply was always- "To cut down the trees growing up through the chassis so we can free it from the building and get it out the door!" Some of those projects would "take root" in the shop, and it still happens at home with some of these hot rods.
