Years ago when I bought the house in Newport I was sitting on the porch watching these guys install a lock on their car. I'm not sure what they thought about me taking pictures but I could let this one go.

Who needs a drill. They cost money. A hammer and a nail will work just fine!
Keeping hammering away until you have a small hole to get your screw started.

Screw in the screws in your new door lock kit and test if it locks.

Knew a woman that bought and old Maverick, some one at sometime had drilled through the roof and the top part of the doors, they then ran a long bolt through with 2 nuts on the bottom to hold the doors shut. she use to climb in and out of the windows. Some people just have the gift of automotive repair.
