Been hanging Christmas lights up at mom and dad's. For some reason they feel it's easy for me to hang lights in a 25 foot high evergreen.

Tired of sitting, tried to fix the ignition switch on the 47 but can't even get myself down far enough to get the bolts out of the steering column.....FalconEddie1964 wrote:Go set in the sun!

I use to do that for my Grandpa, ended up using a big piece of pvc with a coat hanger taped to the end.Reb Stew wrote:Been hanging Christmas lights up at mom and dad's. For some reason they feel it's easy for me to hang lights in a 25 foot high evergreen.

Re: Is this thing on?
The Mrs. and I used to do lights in the 20 foot evergreens in the yard, and string lights on the old I-12 McCormick. Now the trees are 30 foot, we're both 50 and fragile, (we don't bounce like we used to) and the McCormick has set up (engine). The McCormick won't heal, and we don't heal like we used to, so my feet are staying right on the ground. The McCormick should have a new home- I've freed up that engine 3 times, just so it can set up again I guess. Time for a new home and for someone else to love it.

Re: Is this thing on?
I pulled the truck up next to the tree. Stood on the top of the bed sides and used a 12' pruner pole to get as hi up as I could reach. Still couldn't get the tip top. Watching dad toss ropes over tree limbs all my life gave me an idea. Made my loop and gave it a twist toss straight up. It took a few times but I hit the high point!Chris55 wrote:I use to do that for my Grandpa, ended up using a big piece of pvc with a coat hanger taped to the end.Reb Stew wrote:Been hanging Christmas lights up at mom and dad's. Steve, I will keep you and the family on my prayer list, buddy. Lemme know if there is anything we can do for you.
Sincerely,
Lee
