Shotgun Rack In The Back! Empty Shotgun Rack In The Back!

Post by EdgeGT September 7th 2013, 11:59 pm

Hey all! I' sure some of you know I love shooting about as much as i like driving. Well i remember watching movies when i was younger and seeing shotgun racks in the back of trucks so i always wanted to do that to my C10. Always thought it looks so cool. The truck is long gone but i had the random though to combine my two favorite hobbies together with what i have now. So i ordered a set of screw in shotgun mounts for the moose-tang and figured i would give it a shot.
Type that i ordered from ruggedgear.com put me back $33 shipped Smile

What i looked like all buttoned up. Found out that was really the only spot to put it because its such a giant. Will work much better when i get an 18" barrel. That way i wont have to fold the stock. Butt pad on the stock rubs a bit when closing but its still functional.

I like it it. How tight of a fit is it. Is the gun sloppy in the mount or is it pretty solid?

You can bend the brackets to fit the shape of the gun better and when you use the straps to tighten them down, the gun wont move at all. I was really worried about it flopping around when i bought them, especially accelerating and fast cornering but after mounting the gun in there i have no worries.
