Ford Flathead engines
I have a an engine (8ba) that came out of a 51 ford F1 truck that I use to own. Engine turns over. I didn't try to get it running when it was in the truck. The guy who bought it didn't want the engine or trans. I think its missing the carb. I'll have to double check. $300. located in Glasgow,ky
I also have an engine and trans in my 46 ford 1/2 ton. Not the original units. The engine has the merc crank (4 inch stroke). Engine is stuck from sitting. Hooked to it is an open drive F1 transmission. The whole combo came out of a 51 F1 that I bought off a guy several years ago when he street rodded the truck. I never didn't anything with the engine and trans. $400.
I'm also selling the 46 1/2 ton ford truck.
Here is the picture of the second engine and trans thats sitting in the 46 ford truck. Not the best picture but the only one I have

Re: Ford Flathead engines
It sure is tough to find a market for these, isn't it. I,ve got 5 flatheads- 8RT, 8BA, 59 AB, 8CM, and I can't recall the last one. When someone wants one, they really want one, but you can end up sitting on one for years before somebody steps up. If it weren't such a haul from NY, I would consider a discussion on a package price, but travelling that far for them takes a lot of the fun out of it- especially if one or both are cracked somewhere. Not saying they are, but with these that set so long, anything is possible. Good luck on your sale.
By the way, I'm keeping what I got, I know 3 are real good engines, and the other 2 I don't know anything about, so I'm just gonna use them for spare parts etc.

Re: Ford Flathead engines
Had a guy come from Hopkinsville, Ky to get the 8BA. I've been trying to sell parts and make some room.
