crazy weather
I think this is nuts. I was out running around the block on my bike a few days ago and it was almost 70 degrees out. today I get up and see this.
for you guys that are out in this stay safe. I know Joe is on the road hopefully it's not that bad where he's at. they are letting school out early around here because of the snow. Newport never lets out early.

Re: crazy weather
Well, I can't see your picture here at work but I can look out the window. It's like the BS on this forum, pretty deep. I've been thinking of the Magicman most of the week. It's been pretty bad up here accident wise all week. I've just heard that they have closed I75 heading north of here (Franklin). I hope Magicman and Rusty Karr are safe and warm. Rusty said he comes up here almost daily. The veiw from my window here at work is:
Sorry I got a small window!!

Re: crazy weather
yeah .. Chad drives north every day I believe. wrecking in one of those big truck is not fun. I've done it. it goes where ever it wants to after you loose it. not much will stop them until they want to stop.

Re: crazy weather
Yeah i go up daily, i went up to Dayton earlier and back. I didn't do as much as usual but made it. Franklin/Springboro area seemed to be worse than anywhere. Also i had a couple thousand pounds of sheet metal over the rear axle todays so that helped.

You said you get up and see this? Damn sir, Some people get out of bed before 9am.
On the other hand , you need to get the poor bike out of the weather , warm it up and wash it down, shine the chrome and plea for forgivness.
:-)

Re: crazy weather
the gasser took the scooters parking spot. I need to take it to Cold Springs to put it in the barn but other than the one day it was too cold to go out the highway.

Re: crazy weather
we went to Walmarts last night and to Krogers. we got back here around 11:00. it was nice to go shopping and no one else be in the stores. a little snow and everyone freaks. the kids were getting a kick out of doing donuts in Amy's Toyota in the parking lots. I guess they were getting brave, Sami was wanting me to pull the E brake going down I-471 at 50 MPH. lol. every stop sign in Newport was a reason to give the wheel a yank and hit the e brake to slide sideways to a stop. I had fun. I have a 2 foot snow drift hanging off my back roof this morning from the wind blowing. I'm talking the kids into standing under it while one of them throw snow balls at it trying to get it to fall. lol.RustyKarr wrote:I just got home from hanging out with some buddies. Re: crazy weather
anyone that knows me knows I pride myself as being somewhat of a survivalist. you can teach your kids to be prepared in case they get stuck in the mountains or ? in a snow storm and you can make it fun at the same time. this little hut will keep you from freezing to death if you got stuck out all night. survival 101 and it's fun for the kids too.

Re: crazy weather
I got home around 1:00am...but the norm on Fri. nights is about 9:00pm...along with the bad roads slowing me down to about 50mph for the last 150 miles,i had to replace the air gov. on my truck last night because it when out and i barely made it to a truckstop before the air brakes locked up ...I was driving my blue truck because my black one was in the shop getting an oil change....so i had no tools with me....Got ahold of a shop that would sell me new gov. but he said he could only drop it off to me but had no one that could put it on ....So i had to go in the truckstop a pay big $$$$ for some cheap ass tools to fix it myself :!: ....Took about 25 min. to put on and i was back on the road I love truckin'

Riggs was pushing his artistic side today with his snow wall. I think he had more fun than you did.
