Hard water stains on Glass Empty Hard water stains on Glass

The back glass on the 56 Caddy has some hard water stains from where it sat inside. I took my pocket knife to the glass and the stain started coming off. What would be the best thing to use? dad said to use white vinegar and I was thinking Lime Away that can be purchased at the local store.

Ive heard that mixing white vinegar and water will do the trick. Half water, half vinegar. Let it sit for a few minutes if they're real bad.
