SBC 350 question Empty SBC 350 question

Post by LRS30 March 4th 2008, 4:28 am

OK here is what I found out, my brother's friend has a SBC he wants to sell, what do you Chevy guys think?

Here we go
Casting Number is : 3932386 from what I found it is a 68-9, 350, 300/350hp 4 bolt main which would make it a LT-1 or 4 also same casting number as a 302
VIN: 191w412148
Suffix: Vo115HA (69 350 manual Trans 300 hp 4 Barrel)

Heads CAsting Number: 333882 76cc 1.94/1.50 (came on 350 or 400)

Previous owner said he has receipts for install of 2.02 1.94 valves worked up with heavier springs and was , ported, decked, polished, seats are titanium."(Or so he says I have not seen yet to varify).

If any of you Chevy guys can break this down for me and tell me if my research is correct or not, please let me know, it also has a newer Edelbrock low rise intake and carb(no idea of what cfm it is).
He has driven the vehicle with this engine in it says it runs good, what would a good price be on this?

it's hard to put a price on stuff like this because it's all over the board in price range depending on who is selling it. if it's not going to hurt your pocket book it sounds like a good engine. I've seen stuff like this go from anywhere from 300 to 800 bucks.
thing is that these 350's are getting harder and harder to run across. the days of walking down the street and buying a $50.00 car with a good running 350/350 are gone. if it's not too much I'd grab it..
