Just like they forecasted, 2 F above this morning, and wind around 25-30 mph. Wind chill was minus something and a little bit. Went out and got the neighbors tractor hydraulics thawed so he could feed the critters, and changed a couple leaking fittings while I was there.
Below zero right now, the wind has quit, and it feels warmer now.

I have made one observation- when temps are this cold, rest assured when the fridge is out of silver bullets, you can take a couple out of the packaging, toss 'em outside for a little while, and you're back in business. And boy do they go down good when they're that cold. Right on the verge of slush. If only they could get that cold in the summer.

Yeppers, anything that is a cold drink if you get it on the cusp of slush it's simply marvelous to the tastebuds!

It's 17 above right now. A ton colder with the wind chill blowing off the Ohio River at my back door. Sunday they are calling for it to be above freezing at least.

6 AM its -2. No wind yet but calling for 15-25 mph wind by 9 AM. I almost think I would take this over living next to the Ohio river Reb, that wind off the water makes it just awful IMHO. At least here it's fairly dry. I'm far enough from the lakes I don't get that. 30 miles to the west from me they get the "lake effect" we all hear so much about.

I won't tell you guys what it is here!
But it has been a little chilly for here.
I dont miss that stuff at all and I can live with the beer out of the fridge. I just turn it up a little.

Oh, don't get me wrong- out of the fridge is fine, but once in a while the keeper of the bottom shelf loses track and you gotta take evasive measures. If I don't have to go out in it I won't!
