Re: My '66 Nova
In Oregon your vehicle has to be prior to 1956 for "Antique" plates. "Street Rod" plates have to be 1949 and older. Special or "SP" plates can only be driven to events such as parades and car shows or to get worked on. Any of these plates have restrictions and can't be used for everyday driving. But that's only if you get pulled over and asked.Arieldouglas wrote:Can you run antique plates there?

That's nuts! We have the same parade crap but the car only has to be 25 years old. My dad keeps talking about getting Antique plates for his '78 Lincoln but he keeps driving it to other states. I keep telling him to tell the enforcers that he's looking for a parade to enter.

Re: My '66 Nova
In KY you can get Classic Car/Antique plates for a car 25 years old or older. With that comes the privilege of being able to run an old license plate. Of course we get that same line - you can only be driving the car to shows/cruises, parades, to have it worked on and other automotive related events.
If anyone asks I'm going to the car wash. Of course we've voted in our club that anytime two of us meet up it's a club meeting.

that's what I tell everyone here. If you get pulled over you are going to a club function. There are enough guys around town they could say they are stopping in to check on so and so...John B wrote: anytime two of us meet up it's a club meeting.
