Went to Columbus last weekend to the GoodGuys

Thought maybe I'd post a few pictures from last weekend in Columbus. Word was that it was over 110 degrees out on the asphalt walking around. The original plan was just to go for the day on Saturday with Junkyard Jeff but the hot weather and early rising to head out changed the plans. I was quickly talked into spending the weekend since Jeff wasn't to excited about going. Between the both of us we took well over 1000 pictures and it's a little hard to pick just a few. I might keep adding to this if I get the computer time. Thought maybe a few might enjoy a few shots.

I'll try to put up some more tonite when I get home. There were so many old wagons there tha I can't believe there are any left. There were more of the old Gasser type cars there also. A couple fellows that I talked to had real old racers.

Thought I'd try to post a few more pics while the computer is up and running. Been having a lot of trouble here on this end.

This was a real Junior Stocker that has been restored. The old girl is from the Carolinas and held the record way back when. Even though it's a Chevy, it was one of my top ten (for what that's worth)








Hopefully I'l get a chance again latter. Lots of Long Roofs.

That old Henry J and the Junior Stocker were running together all the time. There was also a trio of straight axle cars that were together. They all camped in a group where we rolled out our sleeping bags (no tent, just stars). They all looked strange running up and down 161 in a group. You can't get away with much on the street in those things because they stick out or above all the Mustangs and Camaros.

Looks like a good time!

Saw Carlos' Ford on the grounds but no Carlos






Saw this thing everywhere. They must have run a couple of tanks of gas through it because it was always on the move and sounded real throaty.

Like I said, there were a few wagons there. I might have some more later. You can tell there were two shooters with to different cameras. e'll come up with a different theme for the next time.

That black woody is slick. You use to see guys redoing them when I was younger. You don't see many messing with them anymore.

You don't see T bird gassers too often.
