Re: What are your feeling on this picture.
I think there is some thing neat about them all. ( One of my many down falls that my wife tells me about from time to time!)
We all cant be the same or it would get real boring around here. There are some real weird ones out there.Ive even posted some pics of them on here but for the most part....I like something about them all.

As far as the two "modern" cars, those are photoshop pictures - not real. Doesn't anyone notice the scale of the car to the girl on the second pic? It's just a little off wouldn't you say? Besides, they both suck in concept and design even if they were real.
Benny you shouldn't surgar coat it, tell us what you really think about those old Corvettes. I think just the picture of the first one leds to a more favorable opinion. The photo is well taken or doctored the way it's framed and showing motion. How's that? As for the second one, she's just a good sized girl. They need love too! Isn't the white Vette with the axle one of the Deadman's Curve Gang from out east? Looks like that Vette from the Radiar ads.

I like them all too but in different ways. I'm not much on rat rod that are unsafe and made to look like it's a freak show but I feel very comfy in a beater(Jalopy).Brownie wrote:I think there is some thing neat about them all. but for the most part....I like something about them all.

I agree with that! If I had it to do over. I woundn't have painted the 39! Would have just
left it flat black.

The third car looks like Kevin Anderson's car from Muncie. The last one I've seen in a lot of event coverage in SoCal. I think he must go all over in that thing.

I like all three. To choose one though, I think I'd take the drop top.

Re: What are your feeling on this picture.
I like them but not for me. The 30's and 40's are neat but I have no desire. I like the 49 to about 65 vintage. I just can't identify with the older ones. I only knew a few guys with them. When I was in high school the 49 - 57 Fords and the 53 - 57 chevys were popular and availble. They were about 10 to 15 years old then and you could get a really good one for $300 to $500. I guess that's why I tend to lean that direction. I personally don't think there was a car made in 56 that I don't like. Probably my favorite year.

I don't care for it. I'm just wondering what others feelings are. Seems to happen a lot with older trucks.Blue Eyed Devil wrote:Reb Stew wrote:What are your thoughts here on the newer bed?

I was going to post a few thoughts, but a couple guys beat me to the punch. I've been on here a few years and I have to say, the more I read posts from FalconEddie1964 and Brownie, the more I like these guys. I may have to get my butt out on the 18th with you guys.

At the risk of really getting slammed, I sorta like it. I think thats kind of the idea that GM was after with the HHR or that little Corvette type truck they made. If the one in the picture had a different rear bumper and was lower so you wouldn't need air sick bags, it might look pretty cool. Not to for cruise ins or stuff like that but for an every day hauler. It looks pretty smooth and slick which is what customs are supposed to do. It's different. I've seen quite a few of those old Chevys done like that, theres a black and bright green one that shows up at some of the bigger events around here thats pretty slick. Never seen anybody do that to an F-100. ............. Ok Benny, hit me where it hurts.
