New electronic toy

I had some points to use from my bank so I got me a MP3 player and a I tunes gift card,I was hoping to get a Ipod eventually but this will do for now. I have been replacing the stereos in my cars with ones that have USB ports so I can use flash drives loaded with music instead of carriyng around a bunch of CDs but I can use my new toy for listening to tunes while cutting the grass when not hooked to a car stereo,I am slow to adapt to modern technology since most is useless to me but I am liking the new car stereos and portable satelite radio and have two more stereos to replace before this summer so I can use this new toy in two cars.

Too modern for me. I still have 8 tracks and cassettes.

me too...but I have a Ipod with 8,000 songs as well......adapt and overcome!

No need to carry cases of tapes these days,its amazing something smaller then a pack of cigarettes can hold thousands of songs and I like it. I have seen devices made to hook into older radios to run Ipods and MP3s through them so the original radio can be retained but I have converted all my vehicles to modern stereos,I might have to look into one in case I get another car with a working original radio since I love the deep and crisp sound of a tube radio.

I am an idiot when it comes to technology, my cell phone still has a pull up antenna, but I do have an I pod with over 30k songs, and let me tell you , I have never been so please with technology in my life.... Its a hell of a lot easier than CD's 8 tracks or 33's(33's are long playing records for you young guns...lol) When I was off work recovering from back and shoulder surgery I would go to the library and check out CD's and down load them... Now I take the damn thing with me everywhere... I LOVE IT!

When it comes to car audio I love the new technology,I do not ever want to have to carry around cases of tapes and CDs again just to have someone break in and steal them. I love portable satelite radio too and wont go to Florida or any long trip again without it,I need to go to the library and get some more music to keep in stock on the computer.
