March Tornados!

Only shingle damage at our house, but it was an extremely close call (damage less than a miles away).

We are extremely lucky we was headed towards moscow ohio for the weekend. We got to new richmond stopped at the iga on 52 and shopped for dinner tonight. It hailed for a few minutes , then we took off going back towards moscow. We got to the Zimmer power plant , trees down every where, phone lines down, 52 was shut down, knew we couldnt get far so headed back towards ky. The kids counted 24 different fire trucks, police, ambulance and search and rescue....

my cousin that i was going to help for the weekend called us he trapped himself in the utility room, told me to stay put, i stayed put untill the sun came back out, i couldnt get to him but his pole barn was destroyed, his brother in laws 79 TA wasnt hurt to my knowledge, had mass about of motors in the barn his brother in law got them moved, my cousins garage wall caved in, lost a few shingles and a few trees but all else is good.

We always fair good compared to other parts of the country when these storms comes through. Looking at the damage I just don't know how people that live in areas like tornado alley could handle it. Not to say we didn't get hit but it's nothing compared to other place. I'd be freaked out all the time.
