My new RAT ROD
I know alot of people have an aversion to rodents, but I have been looking for one of these for a while. It needs a little work, but it'll be great. Before ya flame me, it is kinda old school also. It runs a flat head 4 with zoomie pipe and a glasspack, 3 speed manual on the floor, steel wheels with big and little rubber, flat steering wheel, vintage gages.(even a mech. tach) and even a banjo rear diff. Seems like its built nice and sturdy, but the sheet metal is a bit rough even for a rat. Can't wait to start messen with her.
So without further adieu, here she is.
All it needs is some red paint for the wheels, and some white walls.( I have a gallon of leftover white latex paint)
Tractor grill! I'll fit right in with the RR crowd
Think I need to build a longer shifter.
Check out that gage panel.
Anybody know if they make a quick change for this?
Zoomie and glasspack.....OOOOOOOOOOOOO
Not much H.P. but torque out the wazzu.
Sorry guys, but I got board. Hope I didn't step on any toes. I like all kinds of cars, as long as they are well built and safe, thats all that matters. Hope I at least made ya smile, have a great day everyone.

Re: My new RAT ROD
I'm sitting here cracking up. That was a good one.
If you buy/build a rat it's no big deal here. Everyone has their thoughts on it. I like it all. I just get ticked when I have a car I'm working on or a nice car with a primer spot they call it a rat rod. One show I went to gave me best Rat Rod for my 1980 Firebird. It's not a rat rod it's just not finished. lol

I love those perkins diesel engines. EASY on fuel. Best diesel engine around besides cummins in the small tractors and trucks. What year is it?

Re: My new RAT ROD
Do you know how funny it is to hear of someone bush hogging in Febuary? That's one good thing about winter here.

Probably a 72 0r 73. Here is where you can find some info on just about any tractor.

He's right. The square hood is from the 70's. I'm on my 2nd 175 MF and hate to se the day when this one goes down. I'm pretty outnumbered around here. It's all JD green and IH red. Long live Massey-Ferguson.

Not only is it the first time I have bush hogged in Febuary, but also the first time I bush hogged with alligators watching me.
Thanks for the info on the year guys. I wasn't sure it was that old, I'm not up on my tractor years. My Grandfather had a late 40s Massey Harris and it was all rounded, I always liked that tractor.

Re: My new RAT ROD
The family farm my 37 came from had a similar M/F tractor and I think it was around a 62 and a diesel.
