Scroungers Midnight Scare Run. Friday the 13th

1 hour!

Not a bad run. Butch got the times mixed up so we waited on him to get there. The night started out a little slow but it wasn't bad. Stopped in Wilder for some gas.

We run out the back way to Ray's house and stopped to say hi to Ronnie. I guess the loud big blocks were too much for some and they must have called the police. As we were leaving they were flying in. After a few turns we hit Dixie Highway with two lanes of cars side by side cruising down the road. It was pretty nice until this little car blew through a red light and stopped in the road in front of me. There was no way I could stop. I got over enough that if I hit it I would get the front bumper and hopefully spin it out instead of blasting them right in their door. Randy was next to me but got over enough that I made it around them. It fired me up for a second but I just turned my hillbilly music up and kept on going. It was a close call.

We made it back into to Covington, Ky and had a little fun. Under every bridge the open headers would almost knock the filling loose from your teeth. Glann and I had a rev fest going on one time in downtown. I was wondering who was going to blow their engine first. it was fun. Joe got in on it at times too. People walking down the streets either liked it or some thought we were nuts.

We drove around for a while. It was nice to get out and just enjoy the night. We stopped in Newport and hung out. I made it home around 3 a.m.

It was a nice night to get out. Weather was perfect other than a few small drops of rain when we hit the highway but it stopped in just a few minutes.

Good thing I didn't come down. You know how I hate to get my BEAUTIFUL CAR out in the rain. LOL

It was fun! When we stopped to get gas I ran in to UDF, the kids working were talking about all the hot rods. It was Cool! Wish I could of hung out longer, I had already been up almost 20 hours, was getting really tired.
