Car falls off lift in Walton, Ky
What a shame.
A mechanic died Wednesday afternoon after he was crushed under a car that slipped off a lift at a Walton auto shop.
Kenton County Police Department investigators determined that Sheldon Gebhardt, 50, of Elsmere, was working on a vehicle in the rear garage of Walton Imported Motors when the front of the vehicle he was working on slipped off a mechanical lift and fell on him, pinning him underneath. Police say Gebhardt suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Kenton County Coroner Ronald Lubbe.
Kenton County Police and the Walton Fire Department responded at about 3 p.m. to Walton Imported Motors, 13478 Dixie Highway.

What ever happened, I bet he had done the same unsafe thing a million times and gotten away with it. Can't bee too careful when you got 3 or 4 thousand pounds on top of you.

Watched a 10 wheel dump come down off a failed lift not 10 seconds after my coworker walked out from under it. A lot of thankful people walking around the shop that day.
