If I remember right the Machete was one of the funny knifes. Can't remember what they are called but they are sharp and used for cutting tabaco.

Tobacco knifes around here have a small blade on them. I think a person can go buy the local farm store and buy them.

When I was a kid, the tobacco knives we used had a short wooden handle, about 6", and the blades were about 18" and razor sharp. Blade was probably 3" wide. We use to sit at the old grinding wheel that you peddled like a bicycle and sharpen them. Used about 1/3 of an old tire on the bottom so the wheel ran through water.
