Chevy truck post Empty Chevy truck post

Post by junkyard junky December 25th 2007, 3:07 am

Thought I would start a truck post since RebStew just bought a 80's model chevy truck. I just picked on up myself.

Picked up this truck in Indy this past weekend. 73 model 3/4 ton. Runs and drives. Doesn't want to start when its cold because of the bad gas. 454, turbo 400. Tilit column and ac. The prvious owner installed cruise control on it also.

I also talked to a framer who also has some cars. He has a crew cab chevy truck. I called him the other day and he said it was for sale. I need to go back and look at it. I've seen it before. I thought he sold the engine and trans out of it but it still has the drive train.

I completely forgot about stopping by. What exit are you at? I was trying to get it and get home. I had a feeling I was going to have problems coming home. It road rough. I65 from Louisville down to glasgow is horrible. Is that truck a V8? Glad you found an egine and trans and rear end. You'll probably get better gas mileage that my 3/4 ton. Very Happy

I'm going to keep it. Use it around the farm a little bit. I need to pull the valve covers off and check the rocker arms and stuff.
