UPDATE!!!

John had a tumor removed from his brain and is in a wheelchair now.Does not look like he will be able to do machine work anymore.
John worked for Mickey thompson for a while on the LSR projects ,then built funny cars in the 70s until he felt the speeds were getting to fast and he did not want anyone to die in a car he built so he quit bulding them.
Started building street rods








These are just a couple cars that I could find, I read this this morning on another site. Just thought I'd share this info.

that stinks. I grew up reading about his hotrod builds. at least they cought it and he's alive. he may recover enough to get by pretty good.

last time I saw little john was at a columbus, ohio nsra nationals in the 80's where he was drunk out of mind wandering around the parking lot late at night.......good times!

Wasn't he also involved on some cars for the Indy 500 years ago?

Yhea He's been into all sort's of stuff through out the years those were the only pic's of cars that came to mind to me. I know he built some real nice street rod's as well, if anybody has any pic's feel free. And yhea he was not a stranger to tipping a few back.....
