1940 Chevy 2 door sedan
I heard about this one a couple days ago. I hear its all original, last plated in '61 and it's been stored in various buildings on the same farm since 1959 or 60. It was owned by a pitcher and part owner of the Reds before it came into my family in the 50's.
It's got random dents and dings, a rotten fender bottom and a crusty running board. The original interior is decent, no idea on the engine. No title and no keys really doesn't bother me on this one.
I dont want to see it go to scrap, but I also just bought a house last month. I'm selling some stuff so I can pick this up but I'll post here if I have to pass on it. I think it's worth keeping around even if I cant get to it for awhile. It's been waiting to be wrenched on for 50 years already anyway.

If you have to pass on it, let me know. I don't have the money to build another vehicle at this time, but I have storage space.

The owner spent some time making a path to get it out, it should be on my trailer Wednesday afternoon. I'm excited.

That is great news! Another one saved! I sure hope scrap prices take another dip, I see quite a few parts cars headed to Newport every morning.

My grandfather had to tell me all about his 40 chevy and what all he did to it in the late 40's... "well, we'll have to find you some spotlights". I'm up for it.
Seat covers are great things. the worst mark on the interior is a gash made by the passenger window handle. The 216 is your basic boat anchor but I still have a 235 hanging in the garage.
what I like about "junk cars" is that they sell for junk prices.
