What muffler you guys using?
I have always been the Flowmaster guy but I think this time around I want to try something different. With the 429 and a lopey cam, I want to get the best sound out of it as possible. I am still running the factory manifolds but will change that out later. I was also thinking about the new performance Cherry Bomb but I have yet to hear them. What do you guys suggest?

I like the OLD round Trush they use to run alot. The new one that look like a regular muffler is not loud enough for me. I'm not sure they still sell the old round ones. They use to have the woodpecker head painted on them.

Straight pipes all the way to the back - no mufflers.
Anything else just sounds... well, muffled.
And you are right Steve, they don't make the old-style Thrush anymore. I still have a set of the painted logo ones, but they will probably never be used because I refuse to run them. Haha!

I put Tubo Max on Mine and I aways get the comment that it sounds like a boat on the Marina. Has a nice deep sound and half the price of the Flows. The wife can't stand it around 55 cause of the harmonics, so I may chande to some flows.

Are these the ones that you have on the Falcon? Because I definitely like the sound of those, where did you pick them up at?

So you guys mean to tell me that everyone has nothing for exhaust? Man, that must be a loud town that you guys live in! LOL Come on... with everyone in the club and on the forum, I thought there would be an array of exhausts being used.

Good old red Cherry Bombs. They sound ok, they're cheap and they don't explode.

Well yeah, that was pretty much the point of my post.
Besides, full length pipes aren't that loud, and it's cheaper!

Re: What muffler you guys using?
I like flows but I have ran open a few times and like it. The T/A is loud. Amy and Riggs both say they can hear it coming from 3 blocks away at idle. It has headers with just burned out header bombs and no pipe.CustomCabby wrote:So you guys mean to tell me that everyone has nothing for exhaust? Man, that must be a loud town that you guys live in!
