KYANA Swap Meet
KYANA Region Giant Swap Meet is Ready for our 44th year. Held at the KY Fair and Exposition Center and filling the West Wing, West Hall, Pavilion and Broadbend Arena.

Antique, custom and collector parts and cars will be sold from over 1000 vendor spaces, over 400,000 sq ft under 1 roof - all heated and air-conditioned. Clean restrooms and a variety of foods are available.

Coker Tires, Bumper Boys, Early Ford Parts, Honest Charley Speed Shop, Mr Mustang, CARS Inc, Harmon’s, Lucas, tools of all types, car products, custom car parts, individual booths, antiques and on and on.

I am not sure if my father is going with me or not, depends on his work schedule this week, but I am almost certain that I am going down Saturday to visit the Coker Tire booth and see a fool and his money part.

saving my money and staying home. Found a 49 merc parts car I need to get.

I spoke to a Coker Tire representative today. They are not taking any stock to this event, only pre-orders, and the cut-off for pre-orders was Monday, March 8, 2010 at 12:00 PM. Who is the genius in charge of marketing at Coker Tire? Why would you send your organization to a spring swap meet without anything to sell?

That is not too smart to say the least..

I know Johnny and Jeff are going down Sunday. Anyone else going on Sunday? I may try to hit this but it matter what I get done Saturday..

If I go I'll be going on Sunday. They want to leave around 6am that means me getting up a little after 5am to get ready. I haven't been going to bed till 4 or 5 in the morning so we will see how I feel Sunday morning. I can't do much with only an hour or so of sleep. I'm going to try to get back to normal sleeping hours but I'm not sure I can by Sunday.

If you take an old man nap at 5pm you can't get your schedule back on track... I love ya!

Because they make money on shipping and they feel they are the only game in town. Support Lucas Tires instead. They have better prices, a different selection and they are based right here in Ohio. Here ya go... http://www.lucasclassictires.com/

Thanks for the information, I had never heard of Lucas Classic Tires! There are going to be in Louisville and more than likely they have earned my business.

Hey there you Blue Eyed Devil............I've never heard of these either. Has Forest Lucas (Lucas Oil) got anything to do with this?

It was good to see you too Doug. Lucas Classic Tires is housed in the same building as The Early Ford Store in Springfield, and are part of their operation. They have a west coast warehouse as well, but they are based right here.

so did any 1 go today how was it...going in the morning would like to know if it is worth my time

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for, but it was worth both the time and money for me. I found a 1946 license plate, a 1947 registration window decal, a set of glass blue dot taillight lenses, and a set of 600-16 bias ply wide whites. First swap meet I have ever went to and found everything that I was looking for! As a side note, there are four swap meet areas, be careful not to miss one.

It was a good swap meet. I was limiting myself so I didn't get a whole lot but If I wouldn't have budgeted I would have left spending thousands. I hate self control!

aparently the rep you talked to did not know what he was talking about,they had all kinds of stock the red line tires we were look ing for was sold just before we got there.The rep we talked to said " that if the scroungers could come up about 100 names that might be interested in tires that don't mean they have to buy tires that he could take it to his rep and get us a discount on tires!

That wouldn't be a problem. I can get you the names if you want to do the leg work for the discount. It would take me a few days to get them all together but 100 names is no big deal.
