1966 Mercury Comet Capri

66 Comet 4dr with a 289 V8 and auto trans. Car runs and drives on its own. Tires are dry rotten. Radio still works. Car sat for 12 years. Solid car. I couldn't see any major rust issues. Core support and shock towers are solid. Right front door is bent down at the bottom. Looks like the car slid into something. One of the back seat belts still has the plastic cover from the factory. I will also get all the parts for a tune up (condensor, points, rotor button, coil, plugs, plug wires, dist cap, etc) Clear title. $3000 . I'll try to get more pics.

front brake shoes
Rear brake shoes
Gas tank
Sending Unit
Lower radiator hose
Fuel pump
Fuel Filter
Alternator
Front Hoses
Air Filter

Other:
All four drums turned

Bunch of new parts and a new price.

New plugs, wires, rotor button, points, dist cap and condensor. Also swapped the tires off a nova I had. Dad is going to take it to the exhaust shop ands have a new muffler put on.

Exhaust is fixed. Ties were balanced. Carb is going to be rebuilt next. Taking it off tomorrow. I need to wash it and take updated pics.

Carb was rebuilt and it runs excellent. Still need to wash the car and polish the bumpers.

haven't done much with the car. Still sitting inside in the dry. I start it up everyone once in a while.

Wow! Its been a year. Got the gear box profesiionally rebuilt.

Dad got some insurance on it and we've drove it some down the road. Transmission shifts like it should. Everything seems to be doing good.

Drove the car in from the farm Wed nigh and thursday night. Has 70 miles on it so far.

I'll be heading north sometime soon with a truck and trailer. If anyone is interested in the old 41 ford truck or 47 ford sedan I have for sale, I could bring it that way with me.

What you want for the 41 truck ?

Will you sell just the cab ?

Radiator was boiled out and tested. New water pump installed.

Dad still has the old Comet. Hop in and drive it home.

Dad was wanting to keep it during the winter but he decided to try to sell it again. We can't drive them all.

Been started up through the winter. Even in the super cold.
