Re: No _1 Roadster
I turned it over to see if it would fire. It fired up enough to turn the dizzy, maybe 14 or 15 second before I shut it off. Everyone freaked. Guess they thought I was breaking in the cam for 20 minutes without the one header on. It didn't get warm enough to do any harm. Thought it was funny though with everyone freaking. I thought about posting a post asking for a set of heads cause I burned a valve but I'm not big of lying jokes so I just let it be.Blue Eyed Devil wrote:I may have seen a little preview of some fire breathing...

I fogged in the back end too Benny. I was going to leave it a while but had to play to see what it would look like. I didn't color it solid. You can still see where it said Blacktop Bash

Re: No _1 Roadster
Haha ok makes sense now. I figured it was just a test fire.
Good call on the paint. The car really needs it to look more cohesive IMO.
I have some headers for it if you want them. They are some old fenderwells I put turnouts on. They look kinda cool. I didn't think about it at the time but you are welcome to them. Just let me know...

Re: No _1 Roadster
I had a set but they wouldn't fit. I cut some short zoomies and stuck them on it. Made some cheap baffles to tone the short tones down a bit and to get a hair of back pressure. I was going to try to find something later. I may take you up on them.

Re: No _1 Roadster
Everyone is freaking out about me building the car. I didn't want to take anything away from Benny. It was his design and vision. As a tribute to him and to let everyone know, I had Kevin Taco Geary write "Blue Eyed Devil Special" on the dash. Hope you don't mind Benny. Just felt it was something I should do.

Re: No _1 Roadster
Excellent job! Especially the fit to the contour of the cowl. It looks like it was meant to be there.
What to do eventually with the dash is big question mark for me.

Definitely look'n good.
That's one of the cars that has me reworking my frame plans to get my bobtail a little lower.

She's low. I can't wait to see how long Steve will cruise before stopping to stretch his legs.

Yup, those channeled cars are leg crampers. I'm trying to strike a balance...I want to get the frame as low as possible but keep it off the speed bumps, then set the body unchanneled.

Re: No _1 Roadster
For short legs like myself my 27 will not be an issue. Good luck with your frame! Steve how about some new progress after you get the motorcycle home?
