Re: Cincy Street Rods Car show, BC Fairgrounds, Sun May 18
No.
In '05 I drove my then freshly completed '26 T Coupe (the one in my avatar) on it's maiden voyage to the CCR show. Shortly before arriving my right rear tire sheared the valve stem on the tube and I rolled in with a flat. Not putting a damper on my fun I enjoyed the day with full confidence a fellow hot rodder would give me an assist with a roller to get back home. As the awards were being presented at the end of the day I explained my situation and asked for help ON THE MICROPHONE in front of the crowd. I asked for a loaner wheel & tire or I would even buy one for that matter - I just needed help to get my hot rod home. I then proceeded to watch every single one of those Cincy Street Rod fucktards turn and slink off to their cars and drive right by me.
Of all people a guy who wasn't even at the show was at the gas station where I was calling for help (pre-cell phone days for me) and he GAVE me the rally wheel spare out of the 70's Cutlass he was driving just so I could get home. So yes, to hell with anything involving that show or that club. They showed their true "colors" that day...

aaahh, gotcha.
I thought you picked up nails/glass or something.
Sorry for the bad experience. I know nothing of the people/club, just a lot of nice cars on display.
That gas station is long gone now, it's supposed to be the new fancy entrance for the fairgrounds, but they are waiting for that deep pocket donation to come in.
