Re: vcbcb
Who hold the lien? Is it a title loan company. if so how much is the note? The car the way it sits without a title is no good other than parts and it's not any good to anyone other than parts in most states. It Kentucky you can't even junk the car because you have to have the title for it to junk it.

Re: vcbcb
That was rude so I will say you may say you know what you can and can't do but selling a car with a lien on it is against the law in all 50 states. If you spoke with them I do know for a fact they didn't tell you it was okay to sell the car UNLESS YOU PAID THE NOTE OFF FROM THE SALE. If that was the case then you would have a clear title on it. You are taking a car that someone has a note on and selling it. The reason they have the note on it is so they get their money for services they have provided to you. Legally they own the car if your at fault on your payment. I owned a repo company and I can tell you that just seeing this post I would know my collateral could be lost and that would be enough to have a repossession order placed on the car and after I got it you could not have it back until all the note was paid plus the $250.00 repo fee and lot storage. You can do as you want. I wasn't trying to be a smart a$$ just talking. If you sell it to someone for a parts car that's between you and them. So with your last post let me say tread lightly on this forum. No one was freaking out on you, just using the forum for what it was meant for. Talking...Thepossumface wrote:usaa has it, look I know all about what your saying, so i dont need to hear it again, not trying to be rude but i know exactly what i can/ cant do, ive already talked to them about it, and in all fair its worth at least 2k as it sits, its not a common car ive done by looking. i pay 80 a month for it so its not killing me id gladly let someone take over payments on it also

Don't get your panties in a bunch. You are the one that said you were selling it without the title due to it having a lien on it. If you are going to talk do it without a mouth full of bull.

Re: vcbcb
I'll chime in and say I know banking law pretty well...and Bankruptcy law....at no time are you allowed to sell a asset that has a lien on it, WITHOUT satisfying the loan in whole...But ya did the right thing by taking the ad down, probably better off not on the forum....

Re: vcbcb
He edited the post. It's the car he has been working on. Not a bad looking old car I just don't see 3K for a car that doesn't run and doesn't have a title. Maybe I'm wrong. I wouldn't give $500.00 for it without a title but as everyone knows a car is worth what someone else is willing to pay. Maybe someone wants it bad. Not sure what they would do if they gave him 3K for it then a repo guy showed up and took it from him. To start with it is criminal. It would warrant a civil case. The seller would owe money and be ordered to pay the $3000.00 back. The the title loan company or bank whoever hold the note can and could get money from him for the note. The price they sold it for at auction would be taken off the balance would have to be paid by him plus the daily lot storage and repo fee. Normally a title loan company will right it off after a year but if the guy that got screwed out of 3K took him to court and won they would have an easy win themselves and get it. I have seen this many times before. I have worked for a number of title loan company as well as being the sole recovery agent for several large banks in the tri state area for a few years when I was doing it. Not counting at one time or another I have work for almost every buy here pay here car lot with 30 mile of me.Arieldouglas wrote:Me too.Chris55 wrote:I just wanted to know what the heck a vcbcb was.
Cool car but you can never put it back on the road without the title.

I don't really think it's working but I have been using 4 times the amount of Rogain that they say to use. I really don't think it's doing anything.

Man, that reminds me of another fuzzy face that was in this group years ago. The Turdman (maybe that's miss spelled)? I think he's in your Missouri Chapter. Halfdone should know. By the way he's been pretty sick lately and I hope your doing better Bill. Getting old is taking it's toll on all of us. (Well all but me)

That's a shame. I didn't know he was doing bad. Hope all turns out well. I always liked Bill. He needs to teach some young pups some of that metal shaping.
