As most know I'm wanting to build a big garage here on the property. One issue was space. I didn't want the house to be in the middle of a working garage. I have been looking and trying to figure out how to have a house close to the garage but not have them as one.

One thing was the driveway. I didn't want to use the driveway I have and have huge concrete trucks, rollbacks and other things breaking up the already rough blacktop. 27 years ago my dad run a pipe through the ditch line to make a service drive. It never happened. He always talked about it but never had time to do it.

It is now roughed in. I still need to grade it out some and add some gravel but at least the hard part is done.

I dug this rock out of the ground. It looked like a headstone so I dug a quick hole with the Bobcat and stuck it in the ground. Just for fun.

This will be the drive for the garage. I thought it was cool that mom and dad showed up. I was able to get dad in the car and drove him up the new drive. He is a man of little words but they speak volumes to me. As we cleared the top of the hill I ask him what he thought. Simple words.

Other than the first 30 feet it's less steep than the blacktop drive. Not too bad.

Laughing  I forgot you are up north and are now a flatlander ex Brair Hopper. LOL
