Romeo, 120 pound Great Pyreneesm. We gave him away to a guy that had two others just like him. Some farm way up in Northern Ohio. 200+ acres with 80 acres of it fenced in.FalconEddie1964 wrote:So what happened to the big enormous huge white hound dog? I don't remeber his name but he sure was cool.
He was so big he didn't have enough room to run in this little yard. He was digging holes 4 foot wide and 2 to 3 feet deep. If we would have left him alone for more than a day he would have a swimming pool dug. Now that we have a place it's time.

Re: Wish me luck.
His name is Blue. Smooth hair Chow Chow. I have had many Chows. Not sure why but they seem to be what I lean towards. I lost my last one about 10 years ago. He was the one that got my heart. No other pup could take his place. I forced myself for years not to get another dog because I didn't want to go through loosing another one that I cared so much for. With us having the family property now I figured it was time. I really didn't have the money to get him but what is a little money if you can't have what you want.

Re: Wish me luck.
I was joking around with Amy about getting another Chow Chow. I looked around just to see what the pups were going for. I called a lady and within 2 minutes I was making plans to stop in and getting her address. She was way up north from me. She ask when I wanted to come and I told her I was walking out the door. When I walked out of the office Aryan was almost in tears and Sami and Amy wouldn't stop smiling. They thought I had flipped I guessed. We jumped in the Yaris a family of 4 and come back a family of 5.

Re: Wish me luck.
Blue is so adorable and very smart for only being 6 weeks old. How many puppies are potty trained by then? I'm so glad he is! When Steve was talking to the lady on the phone he sounded like a little kid.. Thanks Steve for the puppy! He has big paws to fill with our last chow!

Re: Wish me luck.
Blue is not scared of the noisy hot rods so I guess that means he's a keeper!

I thought it was cool when I pulled up to the house with open headers. It didn't bug him a bit. He just wagged.

Just remember- spoil 'em rotten! Everyone I ever had was that way. If I had my way, and the space, I'd have a hundred dogs!

Re: Wish me luck.
I have to keep getting on the kids for walking around with him like he's a newborn baby. He is already spoiled. He doesn't like other dogs which is not a good thing. Where we are moving to will have live stock. Not sure how he's going to do.
The guy up the street has a sweet little Pug. They stopped by and Blue was going nuts through the fence trying to get her. It was crazy. I figured with just being a pup he may stop that if that fence wasn't there. I picked him up and let them meet. He sniffed at her then tried to take a hung out of her head. He thinks he's tuff.

Re: Wish me luck.
Our old black dog was part chow and I don't think she walked anywhere for about the first six months. My daughter carried her every and when I took her with me to cruise-ins, I carried her so I knew where she was. She was never left alone, there was always one of up with her. She was by far the best mannered hound dog I ever had. You could tell she had chow in her though. Not only was her tongue and mouth all black but when she got to playing a little rough the hair on the back of her neck and back would stand up.

Re: Wish me luck.
That's the way my dog is. Can't have another dog around her. Thought she would get over it but she's 14. She's loves humans but not dogs.
