HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY STEWART

Well over 20 years ago a friend ask me to give his girlfriend and her little sister a ride home. As the girls climbed in the back seat of my Firebird no words were spoken by the little sister. All the way home it was nothing but smiles and her beautiful brown eyes staring at me through the rear view mirror. As time went on I seen her a few times in passing. I can tell you from the first time I seen her, she had my heart. She drove me nuts. Love at first site? Yea, I believe in that mushy stuff.
I drove everyone nuts trying to get date with her. Nothing would work. I took it upon myself to do it. Weeks of stopping by to just say hi. She wouldn't say too much and wouldn't go on a date with me because she had a boyfriend. I suggested calling him up and telling him to come down to her house so I could talk to him. I promised her that if she did he would go away. She wouldn't but she thought it was funny. After a few more weeks I happened to stop by and she smiled and told me they had broken up. A first date was set and that was that. We been together since.
It was a rough start. None of her family liked me. Her mom hated me, Her Grand Parents didn't like me either. Something about some hippy with a gun strapped to his belt bringing their grand daughter to their farm on the back of a motorcycle.
.. Her father's words to his new son in law was a simple "Just remember, it's not going to last". The rest of her family were pretty much the same way. It didn't matter. I just hope now they can see we did the right thing.
Anyone that has known me for a long time will tell you Amy more than likely saved my life. I was a little on the wild side to say the least. I can't start to thank her enough for the love, understanding, years of putting up with me and most of all, my children. It is a love that most people would die for and I don't take it for granted.
Amy thank you for being who you are and with each year my love grows stronger and I hope to spend many, many more birthdays with you. I want to wish you the best birthday wishes you have ever had and I hope you have a wonderful day.

So far so good... I had a bright green banner on the front door when I came home from work this morning. I walked in the kitchen and it was decorated!! Steve is going to make dinner. Corey even came over today! This is a pretty good day!
