I ran into to some guys from Muncie and Indy the other week while I was in Gas City and they were pretty disappointed about the news of no Blacktop Bash but I don't think they were surprised. I heard there was a little too much "fun" for the authorities. It sounded like the actions of a few has spoiled it for everyone. When have ya ever heard of that?

That's a shame. The rumors, be they true or not don't help matters for sure. I was talking to a group of about five other fellows that were truly upset that the Bash wasn't going to happen. They were looking for it to replace the Pileup in their schedule of must attend events. It's just a good date range to end the summer on and the questionable weather usually didn't bother those that were interesting in going. It's a true shame. I know last year a frind of mine from up north that I grew up with showed up and had a great time. I don't think he had ever attended anything quite like that.
