Somernites Power Cruise in Somerset, Ky (Sept 22)

I've been 3 or 4 times this year. In August they had almosdt 1400 cars. I plan on going to this one also. Sat Sept 22nd. On the way back home I usually stop at lake cumberland off exit 62 on the Cumberland Parkway at a place called Lure Lodge. Here is a picture I took while I was eating.

We had talked about going. Then we decided to go to Redneck Rumble.. I will see and keep you updated..

Dad and I are planning on going in his 66 comet and seeing if we can sell it.

Just got in from the show. Man am I tired. 1,729 cars! I took off in the 66 comet and dad and mom were about 45 minutes behind me in the chevelle. Just before I got there I ran into a funeral procession. Car was getting a little warm so I pulled over and shut her off. Got onto the square and had a time keeping it running. Acted like it was running out of gas. My guess was vapor lock. Had a fun time.

My wife and I went to the Somerset event to show our Cobra, met the cruise at the rest stop in Florence and paraded to Somerset. Our daughter and her Fiancee met us at the rest stop and followed in their car.

Somernite Cruise was giving raffle tickets to everyone that entered a car as well as another ticket for every $5.00 spent at the t shirt shop. I purchased about $40.00 worth of t shirts, split the raffle tickets between my wife and daughter ............................... and my daughter won the grand prize - a 29' "T Bucket" !!
