I've been searching thru the little book's and was looking for hop-up's for Ampline's(KEVIN) 283, 58 vintage. It's a bone stocker with a 2 barrel, I was wanting to pep it up a touch. I've been looking for cam spec's on a Duntov cam that was a popular upgrade, also I'm hoping to find a cast iron 4 barrel intake and carb to keep with the late 50's V-8 theme we are shooting for..There are a ton of hop-up articles on these motor's and i will continue to read up on these and weed out the over the top ones and go with a more pocketbook friendly one..Any Ideas??

Anyone know where some heads are for a 283. My buddy want to put his original 283 back in his 59 Coervette.

283's are sweet motors, but are often over looked today. The Duntvo cam is a good one. It used to be the hot setup. Lots of potential for horsepower and reliability.

Those early heads are tough to come by these days. I have an extra pair of power pak heads, but they aren't cheap.
