Employee Recognition
Trying to boost moral a little at the shop.An employee was forced on my department by the Col.of the academy.
Weve all tried to grin and bear it.
Whats some of yall's idea's?
I have a good group of guys and gals except the one.
Would like to do something for them at one time or individually.
Lets hear some idea's please!!!!
Thank you,
Chris

Re: Employee Recognition
So what's the problem with the one?
One guy is killing the whole shop?

You know what they say. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Let him get with the program or make him want to leave. It's a shame but sometimes that's the way it is.

Tough love. You will be doing him a bigger favor in the end. Should have been done before he was shoved off on you.Reb Stew wrote:You know what they say. Re: Employee Recognition
He was hired by the Col. of the academy.
I had no say so.He was boosted in pay almost twice what my other guys make in the same job description.
Im not a vengeful person, but Ive gave him every crap job I can find.
When I do,I get reprimanded.
Im just Thankful for the one's that have worked and supported my position and want to recognize them.
Ole boy will get what's coming to him......

Re: Employee Recognition
Ya like to think that he'll get what he deserves but if he knows the right people it may not and probably won't happen. I've seen it more than I care to think at other places I've been. You're almost caught between a rock and and a hard place. Sounds like you can't pick who stays and who goes, and if ya recogonize the others you're in hot water. You about have to show your appreciation one at a time. Sort of an employee of the month program, maybe even use the others' input to pick the recipient.

Re: Employee Recognition
Ive got a meeting today at 4:00 because of him.He whined to his wife we dont like him.
His wife works for the Col's wife,so everything he said went straight up.
Oh Well,I will make it by without working here.
