The pics are nicer than the car. They don't show what the damage really looked like. I have seen this one in person before it was fixed. It was really bad. Cudo's for saving it Heath.

I meant to say that the pics really don't show just how bad it was. The whole back of the car was pushed into the trunk. The pics really don't show just how bad it was. It came out nice. cheers

Post by herb73 June 25th 2012, 6:09 pm

WELL WE TOOK THE CAMARO OUT FOR ITS FIRST OUTING SAT NIGHT

STARTED OFF GOOD BUT ENDED BAD

CAR RAN FINE. JUST A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH DOWNSHIFTING. SO I STARTED TO DRIVE IT HOME WHEN IT DIED AND PROCEDED TO CATCH ON FIRE AND BURN THE ACCELERATOR PUMP OFF THE CARB AND BLISTER THE PAINT ON THE HOOD BUT AT LEAST NO ONE WAS HURT AND IT NOW GIVES ME A GOOD REASON TO PUT A COWL HOOD AND NEW CARB ON THE CAMARO

ALSO GOT IT STARTED BACK UP AFTER THE FIRE WAS OUT AND THE CAR OVERHEATED A LITTLE AND THE OLD RAD SHOWED IT WEAK SPOT AND BLOWED THE TANK OFF THE END.

WELL I GUESS A NEW RADIATOR IS IN ORDER OF NEW PARTS NEEDED.

Benny, he's posting from his job at the salvage yard and their system requires all their typing to be in CAPS so the keyboards are locked that way. I know he can unlock it but if he forgets to relock it causes problems when he types something in and enters it wrong.

I will admit it does get distracting sometimes. But we've learned to live with it

Ok different story then. I know some forums can be set to automatically convert to lower case when people type in all caps. Steve? Any idea on this?

If its leaking where it goes into the carb check to see if at some point in time the threads into the carb werent cross threaded. You may have to use a gasket sealer or thread seal type product. or the line might not be seating properly when tightened down. otherwise I'm at a loss.
