Re: running lights
Those lenses are glass aren't they? How do you think they would work for back-up lights?

Re: running lights
I been thinking about 95 Deville taillights. It would kill my back-up lights though. Those would fit on the flat panel between the trunk lid and the bumper. Think they would look too gaudy?

Re: running lights
It's Benny.
But as far as those tail lights go - not no but HELL no. Talk about gaudy! They would look like hammered horse crap. I know it isn't a restoration, but it's not a 90's mini-truck either. The '55-'56 Mercs make great mild customs (I'm partial to them - I drove a '55 for quite a few years), but like everything else when you start mixing eras it is often with horrendous results. It sucks to see an otherwise cool car ruined with some modern BS that has no place on it.
I'm not trying to bust balls here, I like ya. Well, as long as you get my name right.
I know you said thinking, so please reconsider before you mangle that car with those lights. My $.02

Re: running lights
As a side note, Benny, those taillights don't even look good in a 90's mini-truck.

Re: running lights
Sorry, Benny. Didn't realize what I had done till you called me on it. And I get your point. I was out there looking and thinking while waiting on the wife. Can't figure out how to make it work anyway.
You don't still have some parts laying around from that 55 do you?

Hey it's cool. Sometimes we all need to be reeled in a bit. I know I do! Haha...
I might have a couple things laying around but not much. Looking for anything in particular?

Re: running lights
And I need a splash shield, gravel shield or whatever you want to cal it. But I'm beginning to think it will have to come from TX or Cali.

I should have looked at that one of yours while I was there. Is it all the way gone? No fixing it?

Beyond my skill or tools. It bends seven ways from Sunday and is about rotted away. I'll get some pics and show you what I mean.
Thanks Doug, I appreciate your looking!
