Re: bodywork
All I am going to say is I hope the 46 did not die in vain and its parts went to keep others on the road,if it all went to the scrap yard then I am speechless.

Re: bodywork
Sad part is we went to get that Ford and the body was super nice. All the trim was on it and it looked like it would be a nice family cruiser. It was sitting in a yard that was low laying and when it rained the yard held water. We left two big ruts from the back wheels trying to get this car out of this lady's yard. The tire on the Ford where sunk into the ground and it had been there a while. You guessed it the bottom of the car was GONE! It was a more door and not worth the hassle it would take to fix it.
I wish we had pics of this thing going to the scrapper. This is no joke. A junker came by and wanted it. Riggs and myself watched this guy and his girlfriend put this body from the cowl back in a fleetside 8' pickup truck. It was hanging out the back and had the 84?ish Ford truck bottoming out on it's rear axle. He did this by hand too. No jacks or wenches, other than his crackhead girlfriend.

Ya notice the Chevy is running backwards, because that's the only way the Ford could win.

Re: bodywork
Boy this thread wandered a long way OT.
Seriously, I'm betting all your Bu needs is a little TLC and a hand full of shims. And you can't be too squemish.
I'll never forget working at the Nissan plant. If the window frame didn't line up tight the final trim guys would put their knee against the inside door panel, grab the top of the frame and pull till it was bent into place. First time I saw that I thought WTF. But it was an everyday thing. My buds at Saturn said you should see how they beat those things together.
