SALE PENDING ON CARBSA matched set of Part # 7020000 - GM Rochester 1 Barrel Carburetors. I've had these on the shelf for awhile. Bought them for a project that never got finished. They are free moving and not sloppy, but will probably need gaskets. I'm putting them on other sites for 60.00 for the pair but the Scroungers members price is
$50.00

How about a NOS set of King Pins for a 1949 through 1954 Chevy ?
Looks like it's missing one washer.
Scroungers members price is
35.00
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This one kinda hurts to sell but what are ya going to do?
A VINTAGE Roadside emergency kit. Everything is there and the lights do work. If my history is right it's mid to late 50s.
Scroungers members price is a firm $60.00

Re: A few cool vintages parts for sale
They are not old enough as they have automatic chokes.

Re: A few cool vintages parts for sale
Jeff all I know is by decoding this number 7020000 I came up with this
70 - Is a prefix for Rochester Carbs
2 - Decade produced , 1960s
0 - Year produced 0 = 1960
0 - is the model of the carb, Monojet (1 bbl) Federal standards
0 - Is the divison of GM that the carb came on, 0, 1 or 2 is Chevrolet
0 - The last digit is the transmission it was meant to work with - in this case an automatic as it's an even number, odd numbers are manual.
Thats how I came up with the date, of course these could be hold overs that GM used later on. I really don't know and the guy that bought them doesn't care either so I won't worry about it too much.

Re: A few cool vintages parts for sale
Those carbs were used from the early 50s up into the 60s and possibly later but since they have automatic chokes most likely came from a car,I have the manual choke version on the 235 thats in my 37 and if I remember correctly the 250 that came in a 67 C20 I had years ago had the same carb. They are not bad carbs and only had to replace worn parts on mine but read on the Chevy truck forums that some complained about them leaking a little which mine does seep.

Re: A few cool vintages parts for sale
In the later ppart of the 60s they seemed to move more towards the smaller bodied carbs. As a 230/250 fan I've had a few and unless you really screw them up they will go forever. A couple years ago we rebuilt tthe smaller body carb I had on a 67 GMC with a 250 in it. One of my friends put it back together and I wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. It ran ok, but wanted to flood some. I pulled the top off of the carb and went to adjust the float and figured out it was upside down. Still ran though. Ran better once I corrected that.
I've got a few more of the older style pot bellys (like those listed) stashed back. I think they just look cooler.
