***RANT***

Now that sixteen year old Abby Sunderland became stranded at sea more than half way around the world on her around the work adventure due to a mechanical failure the press is questioning her parents regarding their decision to allow her to make the attempt. When things were going well, she was a heroic young lady. When she ended up in distress due to a mechanical failure she is a poor child and her parents shouldn't have allowed her to make the attempt. I should reserve my opinions due to the fact that I would not allow my sixteen year old daughter and/or son make an attempt at an around the world adventure, but ---- main stream media!

i agree , but sad to say my hometown , Falmouth KY most 16 y/o girls are working on their 2nd kid. they dont have time to sail. :-)
