I was talking to Steve about getting some Member Tags done(HAMB ALLIANCE type tag) They would be a little bigger than a business car with 4 holes in each corner. The Tags would be a black plate and laser etched to show the silver under the black. Would say "SCROUNGERS" and in small letters under that would be printed "member" then a window for the owners name or year and make of car or your dogs name or what ever to be engraved. They would be UV, oil, gas, solvent resistant. This is just a idea to see what everyones thinks and colors can change, lettering style change,(I just told him somthing art deco style) It can say Scroungers Car Club what ever, nothing is set in stone. My buddy is gonna try to make a demo plaque for me so I can post a pic of it.. If anybody has an idea, design it and post it and we can all chime in on it until we all agree on on a design, or if you like the demo(once finished) then we can go that way. This is just an idea so chime in and let me know what you think, this is a way to make a little cash for the club, not sure the cost but I don't think it will be a whole lot.

sounds like a cool idea. I'd run one or two. I think it would work as long as we kept the cost low. be nice to put the year some place on it too.

Yeah, and maybe a member number? Figure out the order of people Joining and put a number to it. Then in 20 years, you might have a single digit number while the newbies would have a 3 or 4 digit number. I think the Kustoms of America and the Goodguys are like that. I've been in and out and back in the Goodguys but I still retain the orignal member number. It's kinda cool!

If they are strong enough, you could bolt it to the corner of your license plate or whatever..........

I can see what he can do, I can ask if it would be cheaper just to laser etche everything or laser the name, member I.D. and machine engrave the name. I like the style, the only think is if we order say twenty and only 15 actually order them then we will have blanks that will need to be laser etched vs. having them machine engraved which can be done any where and done cheap if we get other members later on who may want one.But I really like the style, and the lettering,I think it would look totally rich having it all laser etched, would look more professional, is there anywhere where you can put the year on there????? And if you can do that cool if not no biggie, just an idea let me know and then e-mail it to me and I can forward it to Drew, also give me some deminsions if you can.... We need to get a tally of how many people want one so I can get an round-about number for pricing. Thanks Ryan

i think it would look cool if it looked older. not really a change in design but to look like the old plates that they gave out at the land speed tryouts and such. I'll see if I can find some pics later. to me that shape is too ??? hippie~ish? you have to think about what that would look like on everyone dash of firewall. another thing is if you start getting crazy on a shape the price will go up. but I'm game on whatever. see what the least amount would cost us first and depending on who wants one we will be able to see if we can swing it.

Ryan I saw your post. The timing tag layout would be cool. Instead of mph and location just change it to member info. Just an idea.
