After evicting a mummified mouse from his tomb, a few coats of rustoleum satin black, new u-haul blanket batting, new foam, and blue velvet...the back seat is ready to go back in.

Very nice. Can't wait to see all your hard work put back inside the car!

Also, after watching the work you've done, it's given me confidence in doing my own interior when it comes time.

Hate rodents, dead or alive. Blue velvet is just fine.

My son came up with the stainless steel kick panels. They are practical, but I'm not sure I like the look.

Has anyone ever seen one of these folding "pocket knife style" key sets? This one is from the 1950s, and is uncut.
It even has the old 40s and 50s Dodge coat of arms badge.

I also have this DODGE coat of arms badge key. I gave $14 for it a year ago, and saw one go for over $50 on ebay last week. I think I'll keep it!

I'm happy to say that after hours upon hours upon hours of checking wires, connections, grounds, bulbs, checking for shorts, and so on, I have found the short in my front left blinker!!! Finally, all my lights work!!! I even have map lights, a plate light, and a glove box light. Oh, and I also made a glove box to light with said light.

I noticed some uneven wear on my right front tire, so I tweeked my wheel camber, then went for a little test drive down Route 8 to Silver Grove. When I got home I took this shot before throwing the car cover on.

Thanks! It's got a long way to go, but it's also already a long way from where it was when I found it at the bad end of twenty some odd years in a barn in Spencer, Indiana.

Got jerked around a lot by broken shoulders and falling/sagging pavement, but that stuff just comes with Route 8. It was still fun though!
