1968 F100
Well, here I go people. I have some personal issues that need taken care of so it's on the market. I'm asking $3000 for it but it is negotiable. If you are interested I can get more recent pics, just let me know and we can go from there. I would not be apposed to trading but it needs to be more family friendly than the truck. I have a spare parts long bed truck with another 360 and trans in it. Was told it had about 30k on the rebuild and the only thing it doesnt have is a bed. The pics below were taken within the last month and the lower ones are a bit older.
And this is one of the first pics after I got it and lowered it with some new wheels

Re: 1968 F100
nope, it's the original 3 sp converted to floor shifter behind the 360. rear intake gasket leaks a very little bit (about 1 qt every 2.5 months). and a trans shop told me that the throw out bearing is making some squeeling noise.
here is my list of things that I have done and purchased for it:
- converted to elect. ignition (ASE Certified done)
- battery about 2 yrs old
- carb is about 2 yrs old (ASE Certified done)
- new door rubber seal
- new rubber window seal (minus felt)
- new turn signal guts (ASE Certified done)
- new windshield rubber (ASE Certified done)
- new rear window and seal (ASE Certified done)
- new front coils cut to lower
- new custom drive shaft shortened for lowering difference (ASE Certified done)
- rear end flipped for lowering
- front end alignment (ASE Certified done)
- wiring reworked (from hillbilly rigging) (ASE Certified done)
- new pinion seal
- new rear trans seal
- new Denman Wide Whites (about 5000 miles)
- new brakes all the way around (minus drums accept front passenger side)
- new brake lines from block back
- new tail light lenses
- Flowmaster exhaust from manifolds to tailgate (about 2 yrs old) (ASC Certified done)
- new rear main seal (ASE Certified done)
- new oil pan seal (ASE Certified done)
- new valve seals (ASE Certified done)
Things it could use:
- floor patching under street signs
- tune up... doesn't like choke use from cold weather
- readjustment of doors (new rubber seal makes difficult to shut)
- throw out bearing needs tending to but shifts just fine (just squeels sometimes)
- seat cover is originally worn (I like it that way)
- small exhaust leak on passenger side (think it's donut gasket)
Everything works on this truck accept for radio because it doesn't have one (sound of motor is just fine to me). Heat is WONDERFUL and never runs higher than 190 degrees. This is a lowered truck and rides like one. It still has the old shocks which could possibly use switching out and make it a bit better. It is a big block motor and uses gas like one but is very strong for the age and pulls really good. It has been my daily driver and love driving it and is very good on snow and ice. The truck was taken down to bare metal and has three coats of paint on it accept for roof and tailgate. And then sanded down in spots to make the look of natural patina. Lettering and pinstriping was done by Jungle Jeff here in Springfield. This is a "Rat Shop Truck" and looks this way for a reason, I love it and it gets the looks everywhere it goes. I will accept offers but you have to understand, I know what it's worth and if I can't get a reasonable offer on it then I will keep it. Feel free to shoot me an offer and I will consider it but please don't waste anyone's time thinking that I will take next to nothing for it. And if you make an offer, please make sure you have the money to follow your offer.
BTW, the signage on the doors is from my own grandpas service station, if that gives you an idea how much I don't want to really get rid of it.

I would make an offer, but I don't like to Insult people!!
Re: 1968 F100
No insults taken. One thing is only worth what another man is willing to pay. Not everyone's value of something is going to be the same.

I'd pay to see it...may have to poke out my eyes afterwards!......but don't dent the hood of my truck!

Re: 1968 F100
Well ladies and gents... it's official! John is getting my '68 and I'm getting his '59. I was able to get past my issue with not having to sell the truck but since I put the word out there to get rid of it, I kinda started to get in the mood for something else. Shannon and I went down in the hills to see John tonight to look at his truck and it's all history from there. If any of you guys get the chance to swing by John's "Museum" of car history, you will not be sorry. Man, does he ever have all the toys!!!! Well, looking forward to tomorrow for the swap and I'm sure everyone will be watching to see what each of us does to the trucks. Stay tuned.
