There goes my insurance rates
He gets a discount for being a good student and even with my perfect driving record and no claims on the insurance it going to cost me an extra $133.00 a month. That is almost $1600 a years just for him.

I cant belive the insurance rates for the new drivers now,back in 78 whan I got my first car I thought 165.00 a half year was too much and now they pay that or more a month.

Way to go Corey. I flunked the eye test when I was 16 and had to go back when I got my glasses and take a special test because of my lack of vision in my one eye. My father and I had a dispute so I didn't get my license until my senior year. My insurance was $23 a year but that was only for liability.

Senior year for me too. I had to buy my own car, and pay for insurance...My old man said I was spoiled cause I was able to drive my senior year.... Oh how I hated tanking the TANK BUS to school every morning..... Congrats Cory!

yeap it is..Still doesn't make it easier on the wallet. I don't know how people with bad records can even afford to drive with the price of insurance today.

He has been gone since he got his temps. He hasn't even been able to drive with them yet. He won't be home for a few days. He's in Louisville this week for more collage stuff. Just turning 16 and is already trying to figure out what to do about collage. I'm glad he's like that. This makes the second time he's went off like this. They are trying to woo him into their schools I think. I wish he'd go some place ivy legue but whatever he wants. He's a really great kid and I couldn't be more proud.
